The second mobility of the Erasmus+ DIVOC Project took place from 20 to 26 March 2022.

An international delegation of teachers and students from Italy (I.I.S.S. “ETTORE MAJORANA” and Scuola Media “Falcone e Borsellino”) and Portugal arrived in Spain, Seville, at the “Los Viveros” Vocational Training Institute to live a great Erasmus+ experience.

Seville, thanks to its geographical position, is a crossroads of culture and different architectural styles and is a strategic stage of two famous pilgrimage routes: the Camino de Santiago with its Vía de la Plata and that of the Virgen del Rocío to which the locals are devoted.

As a reaction to the pandemic lock down and restrictions the DIVOC Project was minded to rescue students and teachers from this forced isolation and rediscover the joys of the contact with nature, of a walk in company and of the discovery of new traditions and places.

The 5 days of stay in Seville did not focus only on pilgrimages: there were workshops at school and at the museum of folklore and tradition, visits to the amazing football stadium and museum of the team of the city, to the cathedral, and to the royal palace of the Alcazar.

The participants tasted the delicacies of the typical cuisine and we were inebriated by the scent of the blossoms of orange trees scattered around the city. The last day the participants took part to a very interesting and enjoyable experience: the flamenco lesson! And t between hugs, tears and promises to meet again as soon as possible, the Erasmus friends parted and went home.

The DIVOC vs COVID Project is still in progress: we are looking forward to meeting our friends in May in Portugal and in September again in our city, guests of the “Falcone e Borsellino” School. “Hasta la próxima amigos!”
