The third mobility of the Erasmus+ DIVOC Project took place in Penafiel (Portugal) from 23 to 27 May 2022.
After a warm welcome from the choir and the musicians of the host school and the presentation of the participants, the work began immediately: students and teachers from Bari (I.I.S.S. “ETTORE MAJORANA” and Scuola media “Falcone and Borsellino”) divided into groups and together with their Portuguese friends took part to “Arts and Movement”, “Rhythm and Melodies”, “Workout in progress” workshops.
During the next days the “Photographic works” and “Recycling of coffee capsules” workshops took place at school and the participants continued the activities started on the first day.
In addition the Portuguese partners organized a photo challenge trip to Oporto and walked 10km of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Campostela along the coast. It was a beautiful journey along the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, through small fisherman villages and very suggestive landscapes that made us remember the dunes of the southern Apulian coast.
The pilgrims learnt more about the artistic and cultural heritage of Porto region and reflected on the conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage in terms of tourism and economics and visited the Roman archaeological and a completely restored village (Quintadona) in the Penafiel area.
The village was refurbished according to environmental sustainability criteria and in compliance with local technical materials and construction technologies.
The project ended with a final show where everyone participated and had a lot of fun! It was a wonderful way to experience the school workshops and activities with enthusiasm and participation. See you soon DIVOC friends!
