The first mobility of the Erasmus KA2 Project on CREATIVITY “DIVOC VS COVID: DISCOVERING THE INCREDIBLE VIRUS OF CREATIVITY” took place at the I.I.S.S. “ETTORE MAJORANA”, Institute in Bari from 4 to 6 October 2021, approved by the Indire National Agency with a score of 100/100.

The DIVOC project focuses on the rediscovery of ancient pilgrimage routes to integrate the European dimension into art and provide students and teachers with innovative and creative tools to respond to the needs of their communities. It focuses on three historical routes (via Francigena in Puglia, the Portuguese and Spanish way to Santiago de Compostela).

Our Institute is the coordinator of the project. Other partners are: ICS Falcone and Borsellino of Bari, the IES Los Viveros of Seville, Spain and the Portuguese Agrupamento de Escolas de Pinheiro.

20 students between the ages of 14 and 16 of each school and various accompanying teachers will be involved in the project.

On 4th October the teachers arrived and were welcomed at the auditorium of the Central building in via Tramonte 2 for the opening of the works. In the afternoon the participants went all together on the Little Train of Happiness and visit to the Castle, telling its history, architectural features and anecdotes. The European guests visited also the charming ancient Trani.

On 6 October a cooking lab was carried out in the Majorana’s kitchen for the preparation of healthy and energetic food to be consumed during the pilgrimages. The lab was held by the cooking teachers of the School.

The first mobility of the DIVOC Project ended in joy and with an extraordinary feeling of sharing and collaboration.

The following ones will engage all of us and our new friends, in walking along the ancient pilgrimage routes. Buen camino!
